Pure Breed Livestock Farm is a working farm located in Quebec's downtown Boulevard Cremazie, Montreal neighbourhood. Visitors to our 7.5 acre property will get a first-hand taste of farm life, from raising livestock (cows, pigs, sheep, goats and chickens) to the year-round handwork and craft programs in The Meeting House. The property features flower, vegetable and herb gardens, as well as wooded areas and ponds connected to the city's rich ravine system. We are a popular community meeting place for families from across Montreal, Quebec and beyond.
Learn More About Pure BreedPure Breed Livestock Farm isn't cool because of the innovation. It's cool because of the impact!
It’s in our nature to ask questions – Our impart is where we experiment and explore, trying out new tools and novel approaches to solving intractable problems. Many are non-starters, and we’re fine with that.
Feel good about your food knowing that we are committed to producing high-quality, safe, and sustainable livestock foods that is raised under the highest standards of animal welfare. Pure Breed Livestock Farm provides the importance of protecting genetic diversity in animal agriculture through heritage breed livestock conservation. Once a breed goes extinct, its genetics are lost to history – genetics that farmers may need in the future to combat outbreaks of disease, a changing climate, or genetic issues that arise from livestock being too closely related to each other.
